The above article is helpful in as much as it offers natural alternatives to medicines.
But these are also drugs if they treat conditions like high blood pressure the same as pharmaceutical drugs prescribed do. Both natural and complementary drugs are valuable in heir own way the natural alternatives if effective and have no nasty risks as well of course preferable. For life saving situations often only medicines can help at least the short term allowing survival and follow up with alternative support if feasible.

If for someone with high blood pressure would be the result of missing essential vitamins ,minerals or trace elements etc and providing them via supplements is common sense supplementing the diet where the food is poor source or outright lacking these. For example selenium or other minerals-depleted soil where grains and/or vegetables and fruits grown this is essential. Or iodine-poor diet resulting thyroid diseases in Tibet remedied by replacing salt with iodized salt.

How ever when we treat conditions not knowing what caused them but employ traditional substances are only second rate and can be dangerous if the condition treted (so symptoms managed) may fester underneath.

The holistic approach would look into the causes I expect.

Be well!

The above list should have Muktavati also as a time-tested supplement for lowering blood pressure.
