Hi Rhoda,
If I am not mistaken, you searched for ” is grapefruit bad for high blood pressure patients?” in the search engine and you found my site.

Yes, grapefruit can help you to lower your blood pressure.
Vitamins such as B, C, D, and E (which helps vitamin C to lower blood pressure level) are important for high blood pressure

So how do you know when you can get off blood pressure medicine. My Primary care says there isn’t a criteria for stopping BP medication. With exercise and slow weight loss, my bp has been dropping. I’d like to stop the medication.

I am currently taking BloPress Plus 16/12.5 (Abbott Labs) for hypertension. I would like to know if there is a generic equivalent that is available that is cheaper. Thx.

You might want to add Pindolol (also called Visken) a Beta Blocker to your list. It’s one of the few Beta Blockers that has anti-anxiety properties. Plus it is very cheap, costing only $4 a month at Target pharmacies.
